One of the problems with commissions is the poses / themes that clients want - it's very hard to explain to clients why some just won't work. This client left it up to me - it was for a 25th wedding anniversary and I went with a 'lean on me' scenario which they loved. It allows the faces to work well at a good size without having to fall back on the old 'little bodies' scenario.Looked great framed with the legs and grass extending off under the mat.
This will feature prominently when I finally update my website - which is well overdue and populated with old stuff. Having said that 90% of my work stems from it.

Aaawww come on Nori - 'sweet' pays the bills !!
Great composition, Terry! This is a strong pose that I can really see bringing some extra work your way. It's different, without being cheesy or cliche...
Thanks Lash - I thought I'd steer away from the 'hearts & Roses' stuff. It worked that's what it's all about I guess .................
Wow ...its really great caricature....i like very much.....
Funny thing is, Tel...before I read your comment below the drawing, I thought to myself "great pose!" I don't think I've seen that before other than photography.
Thanks Jagdish - glad you could drop by.
Cheers Kelly - you're right that's where I found the pose - a photography site - same old themes get a little 'ho hum' don't they ?
Amazing!!!
