Taka Watanabe

Here's my shot at Taka Watanabe - one of the top Japanese caricaturists who produces some amazing stuff ( check out his Blog in my links). I met Taka, a fellow NCN member in Tokyo last year and will catch up again at the NCN convention in Raleigh, North Carolina in November.

Shall do everything in my power to get him to caricature me ..... hint, hint !!!

Shiori Sato

This is a caricature I did of Shiori Sato one of fellow artists at the NCN convention in Tokyo.
Always happy, always smiling - I just couldn't understand a word she said - I really should have read ( ..and practiced ) the Japanese phrase book more.

NCN Minicon in Tokyo ...

I've just returned from the NCN's mini convention in Tokyo - which was a real buzz. Over and above the fabulous artwork the sights, sounds, smells and tastes of this city will be a great memory. The Japanese caricaturist's really put a 'different' spin on their work. The convention was a great tribute to Kage Nakanishi who organised it.
Over 100 attendees and it went like a dream - and too bloody quickly !!
