Well it's almost Christmas ...........

I've had a good couple of months and decided to replace the old G4 Powerbook. It's still going strong after six years of being carted around the world being dropped, scratched and generally abused. These days Photoshop makes it squint a bit so I've bought a 13" MacBook Pro - nice bit of kit I must say !
With a trip to Europe next year and a couple of illustrative non caricature jobs that require me to display to groups on an overhead projector ( more on that in a later post ) it's the ideal foil for the MacPro I run in the studio.
It's also just so pretty !!!!!

So, Terry, what are the specs? How much RAM, etc.? I've been thinking of a new laptop, especially now that I know that getting a projector that handles the wide screen aspect of my 17" Powerbook G4 is prohibitively expensive!

Hi Paul - it's the stock standard 2.26Ghz core 2 duo, 13" model with 2GB of RAM the only change I made was up the HD to 250GB. The res is 1280 x 800.
The old G4 was the 15" model - I had it at the Con - the new one is so much quicker and a super bright screen. The only drawback is it's glossy. (there's no choice there I'm afraid)
I note the 17" model is over double the price !!!

Thanks Hanzz - Artrage 3 should be great but they're certainly dragging their heels in debuting it !
My idea of 'next week' and theirs varies a bit.
I'm a bit of a devotee of Sketchbook Pro - tried it ?
