Steve Hearn - beer expert !

Steve Hearn - NCN's European Ambassador and late night drinking pal at the Inn with the sliding door in Tokyo. One of the nice guys of the caricature world - and no I don't owe him money !
Done in Photoshop CS3

Gordon Brown

Did this last year ( pen & ink with water colour wash ) worth resurrecting with Mrs Browns little boy seemingly destined to be the new British Prime Minister ....

..another wedding commission

Just completed a groom and groomsmen collage for an upcoming wedding. Theme was 'the Ratpack' ....... Photoshop CS3 Beta. All done in separate layers - I noted the file size grew to 886 Megabyte - just as well it wasn't on the old laptop Just love that MacPro ............ swweeeet !!

Professor Peter Newman

It's been busy of late with several commissions - this is a caricature of Professor Peter Newman of Murdoch University in Perth. Completed for the front cover of the May issue of the Uni magazine 'Explore'

The divine Mrs Cherie Blair !!

I reworked her - the first version was far too kind - still not finished but I'm happier with it
... I've put together quite a collection of British Pollies this being the latest Cherie Blair the PM's wife.
Not finished I'll 'polish' her up when I add hubbie. As a pair they have two of the most dreadful insincere smiles you'll ever see ..... not like our Johnnie !

John Prescott

John 'two shags' Prescott Deputy Prime Minister in the UK and a 'bit of a lad' if the rumors or anything to go by !

Martin Scorsese

I'm not a great movie buff - other than something to fill in the time on a Qantas long haul - interesting face and apparently a 'big wig' in Hollywood. Loved the Pirates of the Caribbean and Nemo ... did he do them ?

Randy R from Saskatoon, Canada

Just finished a quick scratching of Randy Ruppel a Canuck caricaturist .... great face to work on !!

Shiori Sato

This is a caricature I did of Shiori Sato one of fellow artists at the NCN convention in Tokyo.
Always happy, always smiling - I just couldn't understand a word she said - I really should have read ( ..and practiced ) the Japanese phrase book more.
Photoshop CS3 from a rough pencil sketch.

Bippy - Dave Boyer

This is a caricature of Dave Boyer I finished in Photoshop CS3. I did the marker sketch at the convention in Tokyo, gave the original to Dave then Photoshopped a photo I took of the sketch.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad

I've been 'scratching' around on this for a couple of days - no big political message - just an interesting face.

NCN Minicon in Tokyo ...

I've just returned from the NCN's mini convention in Tokyo - which was a real buzz. Over and above the fabulous artwork the sights, sounds, smells and tastes of this city will be a great memory. The Japanese caricaturist's really put a 'different' spin on their work. The convention was a great tribute to Kage Nakanishi who organised it.
Over 100 attendees and it went like a dream - and too bloody quickly !!

Land of the Rising Sun

Fill it up ....

Just a few samples of my work over the past few months - Condaleeza won ECaricatures January caricature competition the others are commissions and 'shots back' at other caricature artists
