The recession's coming ........

The signs of recession are around but I'm still of the opinion that it's a bit media driven - bad news makes great reading/viewing ! Late April looks a bit slow but at the moment the desktop is full of part finished commissions.
Above are a few recent completed jobs, weddings, birthdays and send off's.
Good steady work - get your April orders in now !!!

I've got a series of weddings in the 'mill' these are some of the completed faces. As someone on a forum said to me ' they're not very exaggerated' - true. When it comes to 90% of the jobs the clients don't want big stretchy jobs, particularly for weddings.
One of the four above I got the 'go for it' instruction - you'll pick the one !!

Don't mind what they say on forums, it's want the customer wants, once they're happy thats all that matters.

Tel, I agree. There are so many times I want to really distort a face, but 90% of the time people just want the safe cute thing. And in this economy I just want to keep busy, and I'm glad to hear that you are keeping busy. The work looks great (TRY OUT THE CINTIQ (you scaredy cat). I love the fisherman.

Cheers Tel!
I find the expresions perfect.
I don't like it when it's to funky and you don't recognize the person.
Well done!!!!!

Nice work as usual Tel! I think you're right about "media- driven" bad news. The faces look great! Sometimes better to leave the extreme exaggeration to political figures and celebrities.....

Great work Tel as usaul. I like your exaggerating, just enough without going over the top. As far as which one gave you the green light to go for it, bottom left, round face guy?

Cheers Jan - thanks for dropping by.

Thanks Rich - I'll take you up on your kind offer to fund the Cintiq - great !! ;0)

My sentiments Dom - that's why I'm such an admirer of your style of work which I will continue to try and humbly emulate

I think you're right Kelly - most of the politicians and celebrities need 'the full treatment'

Thanks Rick - you got it in one, the round faced guy and you win a .... eh, well you just win !!

Cheers Anthony - I appreciate that !

It's all doom and gloom in the media but there's still a fair bit of money around - there's always government workers they don't know how well off they are !!
How's the big 'V' holding up ?

Off to golf shortly I'll give you a call this arvo for a natter if you're around.
